{"id":5690,"date":"2020-12-23T12:22:28","date_gmt":"2020-12-23T17:22:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bollingermotors.com\/?p=5690"},"modified":"2020-12-23T12:22:30","modified_gmt":"2020-12-23T17:22:30","slug":"how-much-fuel-would-santa-burn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bollingermotors.com\/how-much-fuel-would-santa-burn\/","title":{"rendered":"HOW MUCH FUEL WOULD SANTA BURN?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>What if Santa delivered gifts in a traditional combustion engine delivery van?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Santa needs to travel roughly 226 million miles before Christmas morning in order to deliver gifts to children around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/10987865\/admin\/#\">U.S. Energy Information Administration<\/a>, each gallon of fuel burned is responsible for 19.6 lbs of greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the average delivery van gets about 20 mpg, Santa would need about 11.3 million gallons of fuel for his journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This would generate over 221 million pounds of greenhouse gasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luckily Rudolph doesn&#8217;t need 11.3 million gallons of fuel to help Santa on his quest. But what about the rest of us?
